Yes, I moved and split this topic. There is no reason at all to be hostile to people in a thread that is meant to be used for memories of good times. I do not care too much about FoE or anything, but I spent enough time creating and maintaining these forums, that I actually DO care about how it is represented, and will not have it go down as a shitty place to be.
That being said, I honestly don't give a rat's a** who thinks what about me, or the fact that you somehow have been increasingly been becoming more and more demanding of people. These are FoE's forums, and the officers of the guild are allowed to do what they want with them. Please do not trash the forums, or try harder to ruin the guild's name. It was once a great group of people and a great raiding experience for many people throughout the 4 years of its life. Either take up the sh*t talking in PM's or move it to your new guild site. That is something I will handle if it does get worse. I was asked to keep this site up and running, and in an orderly fashion as no one knows what will come of it during Cataclysm.
Please do your best to keep things civil on the public forums. Also, remember, you are a "leader" of the new guild and listing the fact that you are mostly people from FoE, will bring people to this forum, and they can read everything you are saying. I would think you would want to be a bit more civil if you are trying to recruit people for the new guild. Speaking of wish, good luck with that, and if you need anything feel free to ask (though seeing how 90% of the guild still has a grudge against me, I don't expect to see anything, but the offer still stands).
Good luck

Sadly I have to agree with Tuc. Seeing how I've already parted ways with FoE I could are less who has what access or who does what to whom. Though considering this is a public forum and seeing how you are attempting to rebuild a guild that attitude probably is better to not be shown to people.

At first it will, but you will get used to it. And with being a dot class, it may or maynot be beneficial to you. I suggest giving it a try and seeing how it plays for you (I know, mages, enh shaman, ret pally, and healers it is a huge difference for an works very well)

After talking with some people and such, We restarted Mumble using the new server. It's currently up and running, and would LOVE to see us swap over to it. It just sounds night and day different, and just a ginormous difference in lag.
I personally would love to see everyone swap over to it at some point, but if people can take the short time to set it up and log on...just so we can swap the group over to it at some point would be awesome.
We do not have to cancel vent, nor am I asking to do so. Seeing how we have a free Vent server, there would be no point. Vent is still a good tool to have, especially for pugs and such, but Mumble is just so much easier on the ears! Raids will go much smoother with this, trust me.
Again, I would just love to see us migrate over to it, and with the new changes from the source, it is easier than ever to setup!

Once that's installed, start it up, and you'll need to create a certificate. This takes the place of passwords and registration, and streamlines the whole process for you.

1. Once you have your cert set up, just connect to the FoE server. Enter your desired username, but copy the other settings.

2. Once you're connected, register on the server. It's as easy as right-clicking in the Mumble window, and selecting "Register".

Once registered, you can set an overlay texture, if you so desire. Just go to the File menu and select "Change Texture". Select an image to use, and it'll show on the overlay when you talk, rather than your name. It is recommended that you use a 600x60 image.

Finally, this version of Mumble supports "Temporary Channels". Anyone can create a channel, but when there is nobody left in it, the channel will automatically disappear. This lets you create disposable channels for a 5-man, or a PVP group, or whatever you like. To create a channel, just click on a channel and click "Add". You can add a password if you want, as well.

Once created, you can password your channel by right-clicking on it and select "Edit". Enter a password down below and your new channel is protected.
